Local Family Wins HVAC System Just in Time for the Holidays

Local residents Amy and Kenneth Ayscue of the Lake Royale community in Louisburg have won a brand new complete HVAC system from Dolan Design HVAC & Plumbing just in time for the holidays. The new heating and cooling system was a welcome relief for the Ayscue family as cold weather sets into the area.
“I didn’t think it was really happening until three vans pulled up into the driveway ready to install the very week that we learned that we had won,” stated Mrs. Ayscue. To be sure, the story of how the Ayscue family won the new HVAC system was an improbable one. This was especially true after the Ayscues had gone through nine years without central heat and air conditioning. They had won the “Better Air Better Life” contest in which a free HVAC system was given away by Dolan Design HVAC & Plumbing as a benefit to their local community.
“I thought it was a prank!”
“When I first received the call from Dolan Design and saw my caller ID, I thought it was a prank,” Mrs. Ayscue explained. After an email was dismissed and another phone call the next day was sent to voicemail, Mrs. Ayscue began wondering. She asked her husband, “Have you entered us into some sort of an HVAC contest?” To her surprise, her husband replied, “Yes, on Facebook. I saw an ad and thought at least we could get a discount on a new system.” Because the Ayscues had been saving for a new central air system, they thought that perhaps this was an opportunity to take advantage of potential savings or maybe win some small promotional offer.
After learning that their family would receive a whole new system as the grand prize, the Ayscues were as much shocked as elated. The local family had inherited her father’s home in the Lake Royale community and were renovating the property as they saved the funds to do so. About nine years ago their former method of heating and cooling using a water source heat pump failed. Since then, they had used space heaters and gas logs in the winter and window units in the summer. And after just a few days of using their new central heating and air system, the benefits have already been noticeable.
“I am a nurse that works nights and am a very light sleeper,” Mrs. Ayscue continued. “I cannot tell you how many times I have awakened to the sound of the fan of the space heater or the window unit kicking on. I have not been awakened once since the new system was installed and that additional sleep alone has been a blessing.” Indeed, even a seemingly small thing like a warm bathroom in the morning is something for the Ayscue family to look forward to now.
